Introduction to the World Congress of Vexillology
The World Congress of Vexillology, the international abbreviation ICV. In 1965, the first International Congress of Vexillologywas held in a small town in the Netherlands by researchers of climatology. Since its inception, it has hosted the World Congress of Vexillologyevery two years, 28 of which have been held on all continents except Antarctica. In 2009, Yokohama, Japan held the 23rd World Congress of Vexillology. The 29th ICV Congress was originally planned to be held in Ljubljana, Slovenia in 2021. Due to the postponement of the new crown pneumonia epidemic, it will be held in July 2022. The 30th Beijing World Congress of Vexillology has also been postponed to 2024. Since then, the World Congress of Vexillology has been held in odd-numbered years and has been reformed to be held in even-numbered years. Currently, Paris, France intends to bid for the 31st World Congress of Vexillology.
