On 17 July 2019, Zhao Xinfeng, Chairman of VRCC, made a successful bid in San Antonio, USA,so that the ICV 30th will be hold in Beijing.
The 29th ICV, which was originally scheduled to be held in Slovenia in July 2021, was postponed to July 2022 due to the COVID-19. Since then, The ICV has changed from being held in odd years to even years , and the ICV in Beijing has been postponed to August 2024 as well.
At the 27th FIAV Council in Ljubljana on 15 July 2022, the flag and emblem of the ICV 30th Beijing were launched globally by Zhao Xinfeng, Chairman of VRCC.
On 25 July 2023, FIAV Secretary General and Treasurer held a video-conference with VRCC Chairman and Vice-Chairman to discuss the preparations for the ICV30th in 2024.
The flags for the 1st to 30th World Congress of Vexillology (WCV) in March 2024 have been produced and displayed at the conference venue, Gengdan Institute of Beijing University of Technology.
