In the spring of 1989, Zhao Xinfeng joined the army and enlisted in the Tiananmen National Flag Class. In the process of raising and protecting the national flag, he had a wish to spread and promote the flag culture.
After thirty years of spring nurture, the heart is blessed. With the support of the Silk Road Planning and Research Center of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, the descendants of the founding fathers, and banner scholars, on March 23, 2019, the China Banner Science Research Center was established in Beijing.
On July 16, 2019, Zhao Xinfeng, chairman of the China Vexillology Research Center, successfully bid in the United States to host the 30th World Congress of Vexillology to be held in Beijing in 2023.
On November 3, 2019, at the 5th National Flag Culture Forum held in the auditorium of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, Fei Sheng, vice chairman of the China Banner Research Center, issued a solicitation for the "China Banner Research Center Flag Notice" to the whole country and overseas.
After the collection and selection, the nine-pointed five-star flag came into being and became the flag of the China Vexillology Research Center.
The successful bid to host the World Congress of Vexillology is a major victory for China's cultural self-confidence and the cultural construction of the Silk Road Plan. So far, China has officially joined the big family of the World Federation of Banner Associations, becoming the 74th member, and the World Banner Association has opened Beijing time. The successful holding of the largest, most meaningful and influential banner studies conference in history is a landmark event in the construction of Chinese banner culture in the new era, a great achievement for Chinese banner culture to go international, and an international A vivid example of a good Chinese flag story is a historical opportunity to study and inherit the Chinese flag civilization well.
